Macallan Origins 1991Bill Amberg Edition

A “study in oak”: two Macallan single casks from a single source. Both began their journey in the same sherry cask; half of the whisky then spent nearly two years finishing in curated Hokkaido Mizunara. For the first time in whisky history, connoisseurs can taste the original liquid side by side with its Mizunara-aged twin.

Each is presented in a lead-free crystal decanter with hand-engraved gold lettering. The sherry expression bears an ornate Pictish crescent and arrow — a Scottish symbol of strength since the ninth century; the Mizunara expression bears a broken Japanese fan with cherry blossoms, symbolising transformation.
