The oldest mizunara single cask released by Yamazaki, after the 40 and 50 Year Old

Distilled in 1979 and bottled at full strength in 2008, at 29 years old, after full-term maturation in a single mizunara cask. Released for travel retail, it yielded only 294 bottles. Mizunara is one of the hardest oaks in the whisky world to source, and harder still to work with — which is what makes a full-term mizunara cask of this age so rare.
