Ocean clean-up & conservation
A fixed portion of revenue from every East Asia Whisky release supports certified charities that protect the ocean and the life within it.
How we contribute
Every release we bottle gives back. A fixed portion of the revenue from each one is donated to certified charities working to clean up and protect our oceans. We choose established, certified organisations so that every contribution goes directly to conservation work on the ground and in the water.
Giving back runs through our whole supply chain, from these charities to our FSC-certified production of wooden cases in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, described under Reforestation & Closed Loop.

Certified charities
We partner only with established, certified organisations.
Turtles & manta rays
Supporting the Sea Turtle Conservancy and the Manta Trust.
Seven Clean Seas, our official partner
East Asia Whisky works officially with Seven Clean Seas. Founded in Singapore by Tom Peacock-Nazil and Pamela Correia, Seven Clean Seas removes plastic pollution from the ocean and the rivers and coastlines that feed it across Southeast Asia, prevents new plastic from entering nature, and educates the public on responsible plastic use.
It pioneered ocean plastic offsetting, through which companies fund the removal of an equal quantity of plastic from the ocean. Our Bunnahabhain 1989 35 Years Old, Manta Ray Seven Clean Seas, carries its name.
Sea Turtle Conservancy
Founded in 1959, the Sea Turtle Conservancy is the world’s oldest sea turtle research and conservation organisation. Its work began at Tortuguero on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, one of the most important nesting beaches in the Western Hemisphere, and today spans research, habitat protection, education and advocacy for sea turtles and the coastal habitats they depend on.
Our contributions support the preservation of sea turtles and their nesting beaches.
The Manta Trust
The Manta Trust is a UK-registered charity dedicated to the research and conservation of manta rays, their relatives and their marine habitats. Through scientific research, education and collaboration with local communities, it works to protect these gentle giants and the reefs and open ocean they call home.
Our contributions support marine habitat protection with the Manta Trust.
Leave no footprint. Give back what we take.
