The first whisky ever finished in a PX-seasoned Mizunara cask from Hokkaido. Distilled in November 1990 at Bowmore and aged over 29 years in a hogshead, it was finished in Mizunara coopered to measure in Japan and seasoned with PX sherry in Jerez for over two years.

It is the sister cask of our 1990 Bowmore Sherry Japan Edition (cask #3974), distilled on the same day from the same batch — a rare chance to explore the impact of different casks on the same spirit.

Presentation: FSC® certified walnut laser-etched with Japanese cloud patterns, with pure copper magnets and hinges.
