Scotch Single Cask Whisky
ABV: 48.0% | Vol: 70CLe | Cask #: AM863
The Relic was distilled in 1986 and aged for 33 years before bottling in 2020. It's box is a marvel of details, with all the hallmarks of a true luxury good. Its FSC-certified Cocobolo Rosewood and engraved in Celtic runes detailing the story of this particular malt impress both through their precision and minimalistic design. Developed for a private customer, this release is bound to break records at auctions in the years to come given its sheer lack of global availability.
A Box For The Ages
Packaged in FSC certified chain of custody Cocobolo Rosewood, this Whisky box is engraved in Celtic runes detailing the story of this particular malt. The same runes are heat-stamped in gold on the inside of the hand-woven Echizen Washi Paper made in Japan. The front of the box brandishes a circular rune emblem referencing cask number and distillery name.
This release takes its inspiration from the Celtic heritage of Scotland. The inside of the box is covered in runes that details the story of this particular malt, providing a challenge for every owner of this elusive release to decipher.
The Macallan Distillery
The Macallan is generally considered to be the highest-selling single-malt scotch by value. The distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid. It is located in Craigellachie, Moray, Scotland, and is one of the first distilleries in Scotland to be legally licensed. In July 2019, a new distillery and visitor experience opened on the Easter Elchies estate near Craigellachie.
